Thirteen Things about why I put up with winter. 1. The cold temperatures kill germs. 2. The yard does not have to be mowed and I know my bulbs are underneath the ground getting ready to make an appearance. 3. My Rite Aid stock goes up from people buying cold medication. (Not that it makes me happy, just that it helps me put up with winter.) 4. A fresh snowfall looks beautiful on my trees and reminds me that God is in control. 5. I get to wear all of my sweaters that I put away for the summer. 6. I get caught up on books I received for Christmas. 7. We eat lots of yummy soup. 8. My fingernails look halfway decent because I am not digging in the dirt. 9. I don’t have to keep up with watering all the flowers I plant. 10. The mailman brings the mail to my door and saves me from having to walk down to get it. 11. I have more time to sew. 12. I get to wear my warm boots. 13. My favorite shows are on again.
