Did you know that the tradition of a placing a decorated tree in the White House began in 1889 on Christmas morning during the Presidency of Benjamin Harrison? Benjamin Harrison was from Indiana. Last February, my sister Grace and I stayed at a B & B not too far from his home in Indianapolis. It is open to visitors.

This year a convoy of antique trucks left Danbury, CT headed for Washington D.C.. Fifteen antique trucks participated in a convoy from Vermont to Washington D.C. to deliver the Christmas Tree for the Capitol building. They delivered trees to many VA hospitals along the way.
