Stacy’s Quilt

December6

One of the simplest quilts to make is the rag quilt. I made one in plaids that my husband asked if it could please be his. LOL It is a very comfy quilt to wrap up in. I made my daughter, Stacy a rag quilt this week. I saw the fabric in Indianapolis and told myself months ago that when she was home we were going to that shop so she could pick out her fabric. The colors were unlike any I had been seeing in other fabric stores. The colors were vibrant. Usually, in my experience, plaids are browns and blues. These plaids were purples, yellows, baby blues and other pastels. I haven’t finished cutting the edges so they will “rag” when it is washed. I plan on doing that during the evenings while I watch TV. I have another rag quilt started. Greg’s fiance picked out the prettiest butterscotch and yellow fabrics.

Here is the quilt I made for Stacy. You can click on the picture to make it bigger.stacys-new-quilt-sm.jpg

Edit: While cleaning up my fabric mess, I found a stack of blocks! I left off a whole row! I will be at the sewing machine with this quilt again! LOL
