You Do Nothing All Day

December1

Why is it that if you are a work at home or stay home to care for your children, people think they can call on you for everything. An emergency is one thing but picking up their dry cleaning or baking cookies for their child’s school party is another. It is wrong! A friend of mine said that as soon as she quit working to stay home with her daughter, people began asking her for favors. An online friend had this happen to her and I love the way she responded. They don’t call her Venomous Kate for nothing! Go read her post called Dial 1-800-Someone Else.

Evel Knievel Dead

December1

When I think of people that lived their lives to the fullest, I think of Evel Knievel. He got a high from taking risks. I remember watching television to see if he could jump his motorcycle over a group of buses that were parked end to end. He made it! I don’t know how he did it. After the 2nd or 3rd broken bone, I would have called it quits. Only his doctor knows how many for sure but Knievel was said to have broken practically every bone in his body. One of his most publicized stunts was his jump over the Snake River Canyon in 1974. He wanted to jump over the Grand Canyon but couldn’t get permission.

Evel Knievel died at the age of 69. Though many considered him to be a bit off his rocker, they still admired him.
