I must be in a grouchy mood. I took Brody in to have his hair groomed and the groomer found that he has fleas. I have never had to deal with fleas!
I do not want to spend the money to take Brody to the vet and so I checked on the Internet to see if there was a pet advisor or some website that could tell me how to deal with fleas. You know how I love the Internet! Here is another example of why I turn to the Internet for help. I found a great website called Televets where I found out information without having to pay any money! Woo hoo! All I had to do was register and now I have a wealth of information whenever I need it. I sure could have used a site like this when Brody chewed up an ant trap. I hated to call the vet on a weekend. They deserve their time off and it probably doesn’t thrill them to get calls on their days off.
After I received an email telling me that my account was open, I typed in my problem about Brody’s fleas. I received a whole list of solutions! Now I know that I need to wash all my sheets and use a flea protection product on Brody. It doesn’t sound like the big deal I thought it was going to be! Yay! My pocket book is grateful.
I wonder why things go awry when I try so hard to line them up. I specifically told an attendant at our distributor that I wanted 24 cartons of tile delivered on a specific date. Did the company deliver that tile on that date? No. It drives me crazy.
Our freight charges have increased so much that it makes a huge difference in our profits. We cannot get trucks in every week. I do my best to arrange for a delivery to be made every other week or every third week. When the delivery system doesn’t follow my instruction it comes out of my profit. Grrr.
Oh my goodness! My daughter will not be allowed to leave our house and get to her new station in Florida. She has been cooking amazing meals. The food is even healthy! Look at this pizza we had last night.
She said it was easy to make. I have no idea because I was on my puter typing all evening with a big smile on my face! I could get used to this!

Stacy is home and will be for two weeks. We are enjoying having her and the dogs just don’t know what to think! She loves to cook and we are reaping the benefits of that. Last night she made a wonderful recipe that she found in Women’s Health.
APPLE TOPPED CHOPS
2 tsp olive oil
1 small garlic clove, crushed
2 thin cut boneless pork chops
1 small red apple cored and diced
2 tsp balsamic or red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp bourbon
1 Tbsp grainy mustard
salt and pepper
Combine Garlic and oil in a nonstick skillet over med-high heat
Place chops in center of skillet
Toss apple with vinegar and bourbon and add mixture to the skillet (between the chops and the edge of the pan)
Cook for 6 minutes turning pork once. Turn the apple pieces a few times.
When ready to serve, top the pork with mustard.
This meal was amazing. She served mixed vegetables and cheese with it. It was like something you would get from a high class restaurant. The flavors were distinct.
It was a healthy meal.

When we got home from vacation, there was a lovely package awaiting me! I had to open it right away because it said Vat19 on the return address. They are the company that has the most unusual and fun items! I could hardly wait to see what I received. They did not fail to amuse me! The following items are what I received. 1. Artificial Snow to prepare me for our upcoming winter was one of the items. 2.There was also a package of colorful candles called Rainbow Moments. The unique thing about these candles is that the flame color matches the candle! How do they do that?
3. My favorite item in the package was the gourmet scented pencil! This unique pencil called Smencils, is going to make my work pleasant as I write orders and receipts! My pencil is made from recycled newspapers and smells like a watermelon. Yummy and fun stuff! Thanks Vat19!
Our bed and breakfast hosts in Elizabeth City feel like friends to us. Our stay with them this past weekend was the second time we used their facility. It was sheer luck that our daughter, Stacy, chose their bed and breakfast inn. She tried another B & B but they didn’t return her phone call! The owners of the Elizabeth City B & B, where we stayed, are Ray and Maureen O’Donnell. They are lively conversationalists and helped us with choosing fun places to visit during our stay. I hope we return some day and get to visit again. It was an enjoyable experience. This is a picture of my mom and Lynn’s mom in front of the B & B.

I love watching people. I enjoy arriving early at the airport. I find a good spot and watch the people. I did that while in Vegas and was surprised to see a famous couple walk by!
My legs were playing tricks on me while we were in Vegas. I am used to being active so I was surprised when my legs started aching. I am not sure if it was from sitting so much on the flight to Vegas or sitting at the convention but my legs ached. I have some large spider veins that need looked at by a professional. The aching I felt was in the area of those veins.
My friend had varicose vein surgery and said how much better her legs feel now. I am looking into the procedure. I have been reading about how it is done and it seems like an easy process. Anything that helps my legs and keeps them from aching is of interest to me. I would love not having these ugly looking veins.
