It’s that time of year when many of our young women are vying for titles. The pageants in our area are held as scholarship programs and not necessarily beauty pageants. The participants can earn a substantial amount of money to help them with their college tuition costs. The networking the girls gain by participating in pageants is helpful to them later in their lives. They may not realize it but the people they meet might be their boss or co-worker down the road. Pageants are a useful tool to help young women get ahead and achieve their goals.
