Don’t Jump
A fellow blogger was treated, inappropriatly by her host. You can read about it in her post at Girly things. I’m sure she would be the first to tell you that, if someone offers to host your blog, it is not a good idea. Pay for your own hosting. It only costs me $6.95 per month. (Check out the BlueHost badge in my sidebar.) They have control over your blog! They might be the nicest person in the world and you might think it is a great way to save money but it can cost you in the long run. Angie, writes Girly Things and One Clear Dot. Now she has to start over with her blogs. She lost her pagerank and all that good stuff she worked so hard to get. Check out Angie’s blogs and give her some linky love, won’t you? The person who dumped her blogs should not have jumped to conclusions. Grrr
Would her host happen to be the owner of Rainbow of Words? This isn’t the first time that the ROW owner’s finger got delete happy and people’s blogs went buh-bye.
Honestly, if something offended her so bad why couldn’t she tell her hostee, why did she instead have to get on her high horse and up and delete the blog for no reason? Honestly that is one of the most audacious things to do.
I like to consider having a friend host you and rooming with a friend to be along the same lines. They might be the nicest person, but you’ll see sides of them you might not otherwise have wanted to see.
