Heritage Days

August25

Today I went to Heritage Days. This is a festival in our town that has all sorts of activities and displays. Tents are set up that represent how people lived many years ago. Indians are represented as well as cowboys and homesteaders. It is amazing how much work people go to as they want their clothing and artifacts to be as close to authentic as possible.

In the display area, there were handmade beads, quilts, rugs and paintings. Mom had a few of her quilts on display.

Attendance was great. It rained last evening and this morning so I was wondering if the foul weather would hurt the attendance.
