Brooke Astor passed away. She was the wealthy socialite of New York city who made it her business to help people. She inherited a fortune when her husband died and she enjoyed helping the arts as well as helping people get out of misery. She wasn’t afraid to visit the homeless and check out a soup kitchen. She was 103 when she died.

I’ve been following the story of how Fisher Price has recalled many of their toys. They were manufactured with lead paint. Lead paint is a horrible thing that hurts people. It affects the brain cells. It can cause loss of brain function and memory. It can make people very ill.

Mattel Inc. recalled 1.5 million Chinese made toys because of lead paint. This happened two weeks ago and now they are recalling another toy because a different Chinese supplier manufactured those toys with excessive amounts of lead.
