Corrie Ten Boom

August9

One of my favorite authors is Corrie Ten Boom. I suppose I should use past tense because I believe that she has gone to heaven.

When I read her book, The Hiding Place, I learned more about the Grace that God gives people to be tolerant of those who hurt them. It is an amazing book. I guarantee that if you read it you will look at life differently.

Corrie Ten Boom was a leader in the Dutch Underground during WWII. With the aid of her family, she hid scores of Jews from the Nazi invaders. She was arrested along with every member of her family, spending the remaining war years in concentration camps.

This book will leave you with a sense of extraordinary humanity, goodness and overwhelming love. You only have to know of the despair of others to know how good your life is.
