What Books Did You Start Reading?

August1

What were the books that got you interested in reading? I have heard that many kids today are reading because of their love for the Harry Potter books. That is wonderful. It is so much easier to get a child to read when they enjoy what they are reading.

My husband got hooked on reading when he was learning to scuba dive and started reading scuba diving magazines.

I got started on the Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew books. Then I was reading the Readers Digest from front to back.

What books did you start with?

I started with Enid Blyton, then moved on to Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. I too got caught up with the Readers’ Digest at one point, was nuts about Laughter, the Best Medicine and Word Power.

I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter’s though. I should try to get around to it. I’m really behind LOL.
