I am saddened to learn that a friend’s daughter has reverted to taking drugs. We were, mistakingly, basking in the joy of this girl getting her life together. For the past year and a half we watched as she looked us in the eye and lied to us. We thought she was doing so well. We encouraged her when she lost her job due to missed days. We didn’t know she was using meth.

It really hurts to know we were lied to. She had been in teen drug treatment centers a few times. I guess she needs to go back. If she could get into one and click with what they are telling her, maybe it would be her salvation. It will take a lot to ever trust her again. I have hope.
