Dealing With Acne

The site listed some common myths about acne.
1. Acne is caused by dirt
2. Acne is for teenagers — you’ll grow out of it
yeah right, remember, I am 50
3. Acne is just a cosmetic condition
4. Spot treatment works
5. Make-up causes acne (I actually get more zits when I don’t use make-up)
There are a few more that you might want to check out.
There is a section that dispels the notion about certain foods that are believed to cause acne. I love this section because it gives me back my chocolate. Chocolate does not cause acne!
There are many types of pimples and they can take many forms and may react differently for different people. They actually start out as a lesion. This lesion is usually a plugged hair follicle. The skin is being attacked and it reacts to it. Thus, the lovely zit.
The site gives great detail about how to prevent acne. It also provides a ton of information about acne, including acne’s various causes and effects, types, and common myths and claims.
Let this site be your guide on how to prevent acne and how to deal with acne.
