I am excited to start a new quilt. My hairdresser is due to have a baby some time in July. This will be her first baby. She knows that I make quilts but I haven’t mentioned that I will be making her one. I think she will be surprised.

I bought a new [tag]book[/tag] that has a lot of patterns for machine quilting. So far I have only machine quilted in a random pattern. This book shows how to make flowers, leaves and all sorts of patterns. I am going to put teddy bears on the plain blocks of her [tag]quilt[/tag].

She knows she is going to have a boy so when I was in [tag]Shipshewana[/tag] a few months ago I bought [tag]fabric[/tag] that would be sweet for a boy. It has little sail boats on it in a pretty shade of blue.

I think this is going to be a fun quilt to make.
