Teach Your Child to Play

Published by under family

When my kids were young, I wanted to give them the opportunity to try different things of interest. They took swimming and tennis lessons to keep them busy in the summer months. I liked that they received exercise. We also had a swimming pool so they could have fun in the sun. Another thing I felt was important was that they each try their hand at playing the piano. It was a big expense to buy a piano but I felt it would be worth it. If your child is interested in learning to play the piano you should visit www.pianoforpreschoolers.com. The site has a method that allows parents to teach their children to play. I think it is a great way to see if your child is dedicated to learning how to play. For more information visit www.pianoforpreschoolers.com. Music is a wonderful art that will teach your child dedication while boosting their self esteem.

Making Music

Published by under entertainment

I took music lessons since I was ten. I played the guitar. One of these days, I will have to post a funny picture of me with my guitar.

I would spend hours playing my guitar and singing. It was a great hobby for me. Some kids put together model cars or painted on those paint by number kits. I played my guitar. The tips of my fingers were calloused from playing so much. It prepared my fingers for the hand quilting I do these days.

When I was in junior high and high school, I was always in the marching band. I played the flute. That amazes me now because I cannot get a note to come out of a flute. I have tried. This is a picture of me with my sisters. Grace and I are in our band uniforms. I think we lived in Rantoul, Illinois when this picture was taken.
