Missing It

Published by under entertainment

The beautiful fall weather has me missing our motorcycle. We sold it two years ago because, it had basically become a garage ornament. We never rode it. Our motorcycle was a Harley Davidson Springer softail with the vintage leather saddlebags and saddle shaped seat. It was white with red pin striping. It was beautiful and my husband polished it like it was his baby. He outfitted it with custom Harley parts to make it roar. It wasn’t loud enough to suit hubby with the factory baffles in the pipes. LOL

Happy Anniversary HD

Published by under entertainment

The Harley Davidson motorcycle company is celebrating its 105th Anniversary. Wow. That is an old company by US standards. Bruce Springsteen will be the headlining act at the Milwaukee-based company’s 105th anniversary celebration to be held in Milwaukee. Harley-Davidson expects more than 100,000 people from around the nation and world to participate in the four-day celebration that officially started Thursday in Milwaukee and its suburbs. It includes a parade through the city, a party along the lake, activities at the new Harley-Davidson Museum, a special exhibit at Discovery World and other big-name bands.

Most of the motorcycle enthusiasts will be arriving on their Harleys by traveling the open road. More than 1,500 riders are traveling over water on the Lake Express High Speed Ferry that runs between Milwaukee and Muskegon, Michigan. Those riders have chosen the ferry as a way to avoid Chicago traffic.

Comfy Is Cool

Published by under a bit of everything

PhotobucketWhile traveling to a friend’s house in southern Indiana, the winding roads reminded me of how much we enjoyed riding our motorcycle. These cold wintery days can do that to you. You long to have warm weather that allows you to get on that cycle and feel the wind on your face.

I was looking through my stuff when we cleaned out the closets last week. I almost put my leather jacket in the pile to give away. My husband just about had a stroke. He thought I had given up ever getting to ride again.

I suppose it is possible that I will get to put on a comfy Blue Marilyn Motorcycle Tee, my chaps and leather coat again to hit the road. I need to quit wearing that shirt so much or I will wear it out before I get the chance to ride. I tend to wear certain clothes over and over. Blue Marilyn has the most comfortable clothes without giving away style. I can feel good and look good. The best thing about my Blue Marilyn tees are that they are machine washable. There is no need to fuss over my fussy clothes.
