Another reason I am addicted to blogging…I won a $100 Sears gift certificate! As part of the Don’t Just Give a Gift, Grant a Wish program during the holidays, Laurie, the writer of La Vie de Laurie was chosen to receive a $100 Sears gift certificate. She was to use the gc to Grant A Wish for herself, her loved ones, or a charity. Laurie chose to grant the wishes of a local 10-year old girl and make her Christmas a bit brighter. She chose the girl’s name from the Salvation Army Angel Tree, which provides new clothing and/or toys for needy children at Christmas.

Laurie also received another gift certificate which she gave away through various means. You could blog about the contest on your own blog, leave a comment on Laurie’s blog and/or twitter about the contest. I won by twittering about her contest. Woo hoo! Thanks Laurie. Thank you Sears.

My friend, Elizabeth, is giving away a $100 Home Depot gift certificate. She and Chris must be giving up any remodeling until after the holidays! I can think of so many things I could do with that gift certificate. Perhaps I would purchase a new light filtering blinds to allow me to sleep longer each morning in my sleep number bed. Better yet, I could use the $100 to knock out the wall between my bedroom and the guest room. The wheels are turning in my remodeling mode brain. Check out Elizabeth’s post to see how to enter.
