Peachy Teal Deals Treasury

Published by under creating

I had one of the bags from my Etsy site featured in a Treasury! The bag, Blue and Peach Tote Bag, was featured in the Peachy Teal Deals Treasury posted by Jocelyn Cube from JocelynCubeDesigns. It is always fun to find out you have been chosen for a treasury.

The Blue and Peach Tote Bag was made by my sister, Lynne, who blogs at The Sewing Mom.

St. Patrick’s Day

Published by under entertainment

I am trying to think of the poem everyone quotes around St. Patrick’s day. Something about may the road rise up to greet you during your oxycontin detox addiction. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Hmmm. I don’t think that is quite how it goes.

Let me share some great Etsy St. Patrick’s day items!

Indiana Crossroads Treasury

Published by under creating

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my fish wall hanging was included in an Etsy treasury.

A commenter posted this song, which shall be, forever embedded in my thoughts.

Home for Me! In Indiana
Back Home Again In Indiana, by Ballard MacDonald

Back home again in Indiana
And it seems that I can see
A gleaming candlelight
Still shining bright
Through the sycamores, for me

The new-mown hay
Sends all its fragrance
From the fields I used to roam
When I dream about the moonlight
On the Wabash
Then I long for my Indiana home.

This song gives me goosebumps, especially when sung by Jim Nabors. He sings this song each year before the start of the Indy 500. This arrangement would be awesome if it could be reworked with an audio mixer to tweak the missed audible dynamics. Oh well, it is what it is and with the combined excitement of the race, it is enjoyable.

Yellow Flowers

Published by under creating

A week or so ago, I made this purse but was not satisfied with the way the handles made the bag look. I had put a cane handle on the purse and it pulled the ends in too much. I had used all my fabric but found a yard at the Piece of Mind Etsy store. I made cloth handles and like the way the bag turned out much better!

Nice to be Included

Published by under creating

in a treasury at the Etsy site!

I was checking my emails for messages from friends, requests for m drol reviews and new recipes when I found a pleasant surprise. Susan, from HottieHandbags, included one of my bags in her treasury of beautiful blue bags. My bag is shown in the top row, second from the left. You can click on each bags picture if you would like more information about any of the bags shown. They are all handmade and, in my opinion, are beautiful!

Shades of Green

I was torn on whether to list this bag because I truly wanted to keep it for myself. I have too many bags though and so I just listed this on my Etsy site.

Etsy Shop Is Open!

Published by under business

Boy am I tired. I spent all day today working on my Etsy shop. I have been saying I was going to put my bags and other sewn items on Etsy and I finally did it. It is a big job. I never did get on the treadmill today but I feel like I did a full workout.

I gathered together all my projects and photographed them. It took some time to get a good picture. I wanted the items to look as pretty on the web as they do to me. I am not a photographer and it was a challenge. Have you ever tried to hold something and take a picture of it at the same time? I am pretty sure that my hand is in some of the shots.

I keep going to my Etsy site to see how many views I’ve had. LOL You can check it out at http://kreatedbykaren.etsy.com Let me know if you think I need to add anything.
