Fall Is Cold

Published by under a bit of everything

Time to get out the winter coats. We sorted through our coats and will be dropping off a few to the local donation site. It is a local program that gives the coats to kids. Do you ever hold onto clothing items, thinking you will wear them, but never choose that item? I finally gave up on a few of my favorite coats. I always grab the same coat anyway!

We are watching our grand dogs while our son and daughter in-law pack up their house to move. This is going to be a long process and the move will not actually take place until this coming summer. The dogs like it here because they can go in and out the doggy door at their leisure.

Have you started your Christmas shopping? I have bought one or two things but I don’t really have a plan. I am making myself nervous! I have so many quilts to get done for clients and that has taken priority.

Happy Fall everyone!

Time Flies

Published by under economy

Do you know how many days there are until Christmas? I have not counted them and choose to keep my head in the clouds so I do not get stressed out about Christmas shopping.

When I get good and ready, I will be heading to Kohl’s website to not only buy gifts but to buy my winter boots and a new coat.

The Man Has a Plan

Published by under entertainment

I love it when I hear that a guy has a plan. He makes a list of things of which he has truly given some thought and goes on the hunt. That would be my husband today. He left this morning and I could tell by the look in his eye, he would be searching for those special spiderman cuff links while under the pretense of finding me something I would ooh and aw over. You see, Spiderman is revered in this house.

Did you know that Spiderman was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko? Spiderman first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (Aug. 1962). The sixties were the years that my husband spent curled up on the couch with his dog, Spook, and read comic books.

So, when my husband comes home this afternoon laden with packages, I will be looking for small boxes. No, diamonds aren’t what I will be expecting. I will be happy with the satisfaction he experiences upon, finally, finding those elusive Spiderman cufflinks.

I am so excited! They have finally put down asphalt making our road two lanes.

I am blocked in today so I have been online checking out buy.com coupons. I am getting nervous about how much time I have left before Christmas. I have never been so far behind in purchasing gifts. Now, I am stuck because I can’t get out our driveway. Thank goodness for online shopping!

Getting Serious

Published by under entertainment

Ok people. It is getting down to crunch time. I read on someone’s blog that there are less than 42 days until Christmas! Yikes! I have not begun to shop and have not even made a list. This afternoon will be spent pouring over the Sears website to check out their Big One Day sale. I skimmed over the information listed and am amazed at the great buys. Now to get serious and study Sears.com’s weekly ad.

Oh my Gosh! Sears is offering the lowest price I have ever seen on a KitchenAid 4.5 qt bowl lift stand mixer! It is selling for $159.99! I want it. I want a red one. Ooops. That would be a purchase for me. Back to my Christmas list.

I can think of at least two people who would love to have a Nextar 7 digital photo frame to display all of their photos. Sears is selling these for only $39.99. I am beginning to feel better about my list. Two people down, five to go. This is looking good. I recommend checking out the Big One Day sale at Sears. You will begin to breathe easier and can relax and enjoy all your Christmas shopping.
