Diversions

Published by under family

Many of you know that my son is attending law school. Law school is very demanding and challenging. I think my son and daughter in-law needed a diversion from all the tension that comes with studying, attending classes and general living with the constant pressure.

Let me introduce you to the cutest diversion, Phoebe.

Phoebe is a two year old Boston Terrier who was living in deplorable conditions until she was rescued by the Humane Society. She has joined a loving household complete with a friend, Chandler, who is a Boston Terrier mix of some sort. They are getting used to each other and I hear it is quite comical.

Lawyers tend to be the brunt of many jokes because of some of the people they must represent. I suppose a lawyer gets used to the remarks and just remembers all the hard work it took to become someone who defends people and protects the laws of our land. From the moment a person takes lsat prep courses, they are determined to learn the most about their field.

The LSAT is a half-day standardized test required for admission to all ABA-approved law schools. If someone you know is interested in knowing how to prepare for the LSAT, please direct them to Knewton. Knewton is an online learning company that offers preparation courses for standardized tests, such as the GMAT, LSAT, and SAT. They offer live, interactive LSAT classes taught by the industry’s top teachers. It is important, if a student wishes to gain entrance into a top law school, to get a high score on an LSAT test. Knewton is able pinpoint and prioritize exactly what one needs to maximize each student’s score. Don’t leave your future to chance. Get the best preparation available by checking out Knewton.

After Knewton prepares you and after you start your law classes, I recommend a diversion. The Human Society has many animals that will make you smile.

Back to Work So I Can Rest

Published by under a bit of everything

My poor aching back. I pulled weeds and helped hubby clean gutters today. I am so tired that I don’t even want any dinner. For me to not want to eat, you know I am worn out!

It was a beautiful day today. Indiana tends to get so humid in the summer time so for today to be so nice and yet hot, was unusual. I think that is the reason I felt I had to get everything done today. Tomorrow it could be humid. Have you ever worked outside in high humidity? It is awful. I always feel the need to take a shower every few hours if I work outside in humidity. It is just not worth it.

The dogs enjoyed being outside with us. Brody is allowed to go outside the fence with me because he usually just lays down and stays right with me. Elsie can’t be let out though because she is a runner. She would be in the next county before we noticed she was gone. I wish I had her energy. She would make a great model for Solo Slim. She has the muscular physique known for her breed, the Boston Terrier. She was so energetic today that she moved her ball around the yard like a soccer player. I had to end her fun when she put the ball in the mud and was covered herself with black dirt. I gave her a bath and hid the ball. She hates to have a bath and struggles with me. I had to really work to get all the mud off her face. Good thing she is cute!

So, the weeds are pulled, the gutters cleaned and at least one dog is bathed. Off to bed I go!

Back to School

Published by under family

dogs say byeOur dogs are going to be sad when our son Greg returns to school this afternoon. While he is home, they are allowed to sleep in the bed with him. They love that. He gets to sleep longer in the morning than we do and they really enjoy that. Usually they have to sleep in a room where we can close the door. Our Shitzu is a good bed sharer but our Boston Terrier gets under the covers and growls if anyone touches her or moves her. Besides that, she snores!

We watched the Butler Bulldogs win their basketball game last night. They have very talented kids on their team. This is the first or second year for the teams new coach. Coach Licklider led the team to great success over his term and he was picked up by a larger school. I heard that he makes a wonderful salary. I can’t blame him for accepting the offer. I wish I could remember if he went somewhere warm. That would be the icing on the cake.

It is so cold here. It was only 18 degrees yesterday. That is awful to have to go out in and I hope no one has to work outside. It could be dangerous. The freezing temperatures have resulted in a plethora of accidents in our county. I am glad I don’t have to get out. Our budget would bust if we had to make car repairs.

Isn’t this dog a pill? She is spoiled rotten. Elsie is a Boston Terrier and is almost 4 years old. She is such a sweetie. She doesn’t know how good she has it and any chance she gets she makes an escape attempt. She spends her days trying to get a frog out of our pond and consequently, smells like pond water.
