A Muppet Tribute

Published by under entertainment

The muppets have something to say! Next they will be giving lipofuze reviews. LOL I love the muppets. Enjoy as they sing Stars and Stripes Forever.

I enjoyed the muppets when my children would watch them on television. Did you know that Jim Henson made up the word muppet? From Wikipedia: The word “Muppet” itself was said by Henson to have been created by combining the words “Marionette” and “puppet”. However, Henson was also known to have stated that it was just something he liked the sound of, and he made up the “marionette/puppet” story while talking to a journalist because it sounded plausible.

Full House

Published by under a bit of everything

PhotobucketOur house is full of people and pets. It gets very comical when the dogs are running through the house. Kinda reminds me of that scene in A Christmas Story when the dogs steal the turkey.

You never know where you will find someone sleeping in our house. My son has been having problems getting to sleep and wound up sleeping on the couch where it was cooler. I need to remind him to click here to read about sleep issues. I hope this weekend will allow him to unwind and relax. School has a way of tensing one up both mentally and physically.

We are going to do the standard 4th of July thing today and grill out some burgers.

I hope everyone has a great fourth of July. Say a prayer for our soldiers.

What are Your Plans for the 4th?

Published by under entertainment

What are your plans for the fourth of July holiday weekend? I hope your weather cooperates enough to allow you to enjoy the day outdoors. I plan to help hubby work in the yard in the morning before it gets hot. We may have to fire up the grill in the evening and then watch the fireworks in the park at dusk. I hope to get some sewing finished on Saturday and hit the mall to find some shorts for our vacation. I hope summer things will be on sale. (I wouldn’t be surprised if winter coats will be in all the stores). Sunday will be spent at church and then a nap in the afternoon. Don’t you love three day weekends? Have a great one!
