Waiting for Sweeney Todd

My mom is mad at me because I got her hooked on Johnny Depp. Lol. It was not my fault!

We have been talking about his movies and she forgot that he was in Benny and Joon. Oh my gosh! That is one of my favorite movies. In fact, I think I have the DVD. I crack up everytime I watch Johnny, as Sam, as he walks the rolls around with forks and then they start dancing. That is a cinematic moment! I also love the part when Johnny, as Edward Scissorhands, drug his fingers along the wall. Normally that would not be a big deal but you have to remember that his hands were scissors. Get it? Edward Scissorhands? Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Hold on though! My absolute favorite line is in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest. In fact, I have this line quoted on my My Space website, which you can check out, and then visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace. Jack Sparrow says to Elizabeth, “I like to wave at them as they pass by.” This is his reference to Elizabeth’s comment that he has honorable moments.

Every movie that Johnny Depp is in is a favorite of mine. I cannot wait to see him in Sweeney Todd. You can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site and see the trailer for this great movie.

Planning A Wedding?

When I was in basics, I had the chance to attend a wedding for a great friend of mine. It was very nice but she sure was stressed. I can see how Buffalo Weddings can be difficult. Buffalo is a big city. How would you know where to go and where to start? There are so many choices and decisions to make. I would use a tool like 1Weddingsource to guide me. It is a directory that is full of recommendations on everything from DJ services to bakeries. The vendor list is amazing. I didn’t know there were businesses you could call to help you with a bachelorette party! When you click on the link for that vendor it asks you for your name and then they send information to you. I like simple plans like that!

1Weddingsource is also a great website to use to check for special promotions. Vendors can list discounts on everything from sales on flower girl dresses to specials on limo services.

A wedding should be a celebration not a chore. 1Weddingsource has all the information in one place. That makes it super simple to get information that makes the event a simple one to plan.

Wednesdays Woes

I am very much in limbo right now. Tomorrow I get the keys to my new townhouse! Until then, I am living in the hotel. Can you say BORING?

Yesterday I hit the mall and picked up a few more Christmas gifts. I can’t buy too much since I am flying home to Indiana on Saturday. If there aren’t too many hassles with my flights, I might get some shopping done in Indy.

Find your spot

I have been traveling frequently since joining the military, most of the time to places I have never been before and am unfamiliar with. I have found staying at the same type of hotel each time make relaxing once I get to my destination much simpler, I know what to expect. At Hotel Reservations you can find Hotels, Car rentals, and Vacation packages among many other features. Everything you need to make a vacation plan is in one place and easy to navigate. You can also specify which type of hotel you would like, including if you need a pool, fitness center, or restaurant. All you need is a destination and travel dates, then you are shown many places in that area accompanied by easy to read prices and options for sorting your results. Hotel Reservations has helped to make my traveling experiences pleasant ones.

Getting ready again

Now that I have found a place to live here in Florida it’s almost time to head back to Indiana. I’m so excited to go to our church Christmas eve service. I haven’t been able to go the last few years and I am very much looking forward to it, that and the traditional chinese food afterwards!!! Last time I was home I got to see a few of my friends and I want to show off a pic of my friend and her new baby boy, soooo cute. I am glad I get to go home so soon again so I can see them and the people I missed last time. It always feels like there isn’t enough time to fit everything in once I get home.

From Florida Yarrrr!

Hey, I just wanted to give my parents a shout out!!!

shout-out.jpg

Anyhow, I’ve just spent the morning scoping out houses and townhouses and found 3 that I want my roomie to look at.  Also I trucked on out to see the beach cause I didn’t have anything else planned today.  It’s not too far and the sand is way better than the stuff at kitty hawk!  I’m getting excited for warmer weather and surfing lessons.  It was in the 40’s here today, brrrr.  When I get back to Indiana in a week I’m sure 40 degrees will feel warm.  Well it’s off to a nap I go, I’ve been working hard.

Homeless

I have arrived in Florida!  I am spending the next 7 days living in a hotel, and I feel like one of those spy’s you always see living out of hotel, only mine isn’t as fancy and I have to iron my own clothes they don’t just appear.  Finding a place to live down here is turning out to be tricky, not because there are no places, but because there are so many.  I was planning on finding a house, but now some Condos are looking mighty spectacular and you don’t have to mow the grass.  I am hoping my new roomie will make up my mind.  I am also watching the Colts game and feel a little strange cause I am in Jacksonville right now while the Jaguars are getting squashed.  Go Colts!
