Widening My Horizons
Being around my adult children has broadened my horizons. I am reading more books these days. I even own a Kindle, which I love. My choice in books has widened to include more than just mystery and romance. I am reading comedy and, even though I find it hard to believe, sci-fi novels.
Another area I seem to be developing a wider spectrum of interest is in music. While I don’t understand how it works, I have a lot of tunes loaded on my laptop. I also have them loaded onto my phone which makes it nice to listen to them when I go on long walks.

My interest in music has me listening in the evenings and I have even tried to relearn playing the guitar. Did you know there are lessons on the internet that allow you to follow along while placing your fingers on the strings? I checked out headphones that block out noise so that I am not distracted while feeling the pain of re-callousing the skin on the tips of my fingers. I checked out beyerdynamic dt 770 pro at guitar center per recommendations on the web. I am enjoying the pace at which I can re-learn all the chords I used to play with ease.
Expanding my interests beyond sewing. Who’d have thunk it!?!

So will you learn to play guitar and bring it to quilt group to play ?
I used to play guitar in my days in High School and University. No need to say how the girls looked at the boys with the guitars and soft voice:)
Last month decided to take some YouTube guitar lessons and learn some more songs. Tough job! Fingers act like wooden sticks.
Guess it will be all just memories …
