Fabric is Out of the Bag
What do you do when the weather is so crummy that customers don’t want to shop for carpet? You get out a long awaited project and start cutting fabric. I went to the Houston Quilt festival 3 years ago and came home with a few projects. While I did get the purse kits done, I kept pushing this quilt project to the back of the closet. I don’t know why. I am excited to make the quilt but it is a big one. Maybe I am afraid it is going to take a lot of time. So be it!

I started a huge, beaded ‘painting’ that I never seem to work on – massive projects like these can seem daunting unless you’re in the swing of things and working on them all the time! Would love to see the finished quilt
and maybe by 2014 my beaded thing will be done too…

Now you have me thinking….I purchased material for my first ever ‘big’ quilt (as in not a baby quilt, of which I have only ever completed two of those) well over two years ago….
Over the holidays, while puttering I found that material in a box. Sound like maybe I should dig it out and start. There is no time like the present.

So, what is this thing on the photo??
Post’s like these inspire me to go out and finish projects I’ve been meaning to start! Usually I get projects done like nothing, but I always find myself putting one off!
Winter for me is a great excuse to get those projects done!
