I have several projects going but the one I am excited about for the moment is the quilt I am making for my sister. I made each block per instructions given from our local quilt guild. Each year we pick out blocks and make them from fabric of our choosing. I saw this fabric but, not having anything blue in my house, was ready to pass it by. My sister, who uses some blue in her house said she could use a blue quilt. She even offered to buy the fabric. Now, I am warning you, put on your marine binoculars because this is a blue quilt!

A week or so ago, I made this purse but was not satisfied with the way the handles made the bag look. I had put a cane handle on the purse and it pulled the ends in too much. I had used all my fabric but found a yard at the Piece of Mind Etsy store. I made cloth handles and like the way the bag turned out much better!

I went with my mom to find out why her wireless card quit working. When the guy at the counter opened the laptop he had no luck getting it to boot. He looked inside the laptop and could see the wireless card but could offer no help except to say it was time for a laptop funeral. Mom knew that the day was coming but had tried to save her poor laptop several times.
We went to look at all the brands including toshiba computers. Most of the laptops had the same features which made it hard to decide which one to buy. Two of her grandchildren have Toshiba computers so we checked to see which suited her needs.
After 3 hours of looking, we needed to eat and so we headed to Bob Evans. Did you know they have a new menu? More decisions!

My son and his wife are so sweet. They bought me a wonderful mother’s day gift. Now, I am not complaining because they really should not have bought me anything but they waited forever to give it to me! I am not good at waiting but this was worth it. Aren’t these pretty?

I was sewing all day on Memorial Day and while I sewed, I listened to music using
Difinity. They list a little tidbit about each performer and I would glance up at the beginning of each song to see what was written.

I was surprised to see that James Blunt, the singer/songwriter who wrote the wonderful song “You’re Beautiful”, was attending college before he began his professional singing career. He was studying Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering! I’d venture to guess that his parents were sick when he said he was going to be a singer!
It just goes to show that whether you aspire to make porcelain dolls, sing and write songs or be the best mom you can be, if you try hard enough, it will happen.
