36 Years Together

Yesterday was mine and hubbie’s 36th wedding anniversary. While he could have sent me a funny card making reference to the best weight loss pills, he chose this cute little card with penguins on it. Inside the card says, Marriage the Great voyage of discovery! Glad I’m sharing the journey with you!

We don’t exchange gifts but I knew it would make my husband very happy if a mowed our steep ditch with the hand mower. He was very surprised and happy. Not very romantic is it?

   36 years that a long time. A few of my relatives made 60 + year. Plus I can relate to loosing a car in parking lot.

   Happy 36th Anniversary! We’ve been married 34 years. Wow! When we first got married and knew people that had been married 20 years, that seemed like an eternity away. Time does change one’s perspective.
   I think that is very romantic that you mowed because that’s something that meant a lot to your husband and made him happy!

   Sounds like us, we don’t do the gift thing either normally. We just try to do things for each other. Though we were on vacation a few days after our 37th (he was out of town on business on the actual day). Found a bracelet I wanted and would have just purchased, but said, hey you could get this for me for our anniversary. Sooooooo, not sure if that counts really as an anniversary present.
