Fabric Surprises
Have you ever looked at fabric and been inspired to create something? There are many beautiful fabrics that cry out to be made into slipcovers. A few fabrics are produced with fancy dresses in mind. I searched to find fabric to make a purple and green handbag. I hoped to walk into a quilt shop and be drawn to the exact fabric I had in mind. The thing is, there was nothing on my mind! I could not get an idea for this bag. So, I took a chance by mixing fabrics from my stash with fabrics I purchased. Here is what I came up with.

Very cool mix. You have a good eye.
I understand completely what you mean about fabrics, colors, textures inspiring you. I get that with my yarn.

Oophs forgot to say, I’m anxiously awaiting it….I’ve purchased 2 of Karen’s purses and encourage the rest of you to order from her.
I sometimes find fabric inspiring even if I can think of no particular project for it
Green and purple are not my favorite colors, esp not the lighter colors, but I love how you mix and matched, color and patterns. You’ve got a good eye!

Hi Karen.
I’m always inspired looking at fine quilt work and the like. There’s such a vast array of what can be done with fabric. Incredible.
Nice going. Stay inspired!
Love it. And every single time I see fabric, I am inspired to make something. But I really need to finish with what I have right now.
Oh, but I found the MOST adorable material for a baby quilt at an expensive fabric store I was browsing. I had to have it for RolyPoly. So I may be asking questions about how to quilt!
