Slow Down People!

Published by Karen at 9:23 am under a bit of everything

We have had 4 cars in the ditch in front of our house. Maybe I should go out there with a sign that tells drivers to slow down. Um, no. I might get hit. Karen Zemek said, on her blog, that there are only 39 more days until spring. I am ready.

We don’t have that problem here, it never snows… But we have a lot of rain and many accidents due to wet streets.

People don’t always believe danger applies to them… a sign would not change that view! When I was younger, I worked nights at a gas station located on a dangerous curve (even in dry weather) – one icy night, we had over 30 cars wrecked on the corner (I stopped counting). The field across the road filled up with busted cars… not bad (fortunately) but people would just NOT slow down… because, of course, THEY know what they’re doing. It’s the other drivers… :p

Isn’t this weather just incredible? It’s been snowing for the last 12 hours and it’s expected to continue all through the night!

I agree that people need to slow down. Just because you own a truck or SUV does not make you invincible!

Here in Washington, we had the warmest January on record. The last couple of days it has been raining non-stop, but you have just been hammered with the snow! I heard somewhere around 80 inches, just sine the beginning of Winter! That must be a record too!

I am so sick of looking at all this white crap and I know after all this crap melts my yard and shrubs are going to be ruined. Lots of people stuck all over the place up here, but thankfully haven’t seen many accidents.
