Camping

Published by at 3:21 pm under entertainment, family

Our family has always loved camping. When I was a little girl, our family would camp in a big brown tent. I loved the way the canvas smelled and how the lantern made everything in our tent feel cozy and safe.

When our own children were around 7 and 11 years old, we bought a pull camper. We took it to the reservoir that is not far from where we live. We also used it at a KOA campground where friends of ours also camped. If you want to get together and camp with an awesome group of people, check out, www.goodsamers.com. You can meet some awfully nice people through that organization.

Our daughter talks about getting an Airstream camper someday. We surprised her with this Hallmark Keepsake Christmas ornament this year.

Isn’t it cute? It measures approximately 3″x 2″ and the awning pulls out just like a real awning on a camper.

I LOVE it! Hallmark comes up with some really neat ornaments. I always said when I am old I am going to get a huge mobile home and drive REALLY SLOWLY all over the country. ;)

I have always loved camping though we never roughed it in tents, but stayed at a cabin and fished by the lake. I have stayed in a camper/trailer several times. My dad took me to the lake where we would fish for trout hours every summer.

Is a cute ornament, just needs a little mini grill to go under the awning.

We always camped in tents – but with electric hook ups and shower/toilet houses! My dad would have roughed it more, but mom would never have gone along. That was a compromise! I loved it and wish we lived in a place with KOA’s! I have heard that our new home country has good camping areas… and the kids are big enough now to be more adventurous, so I’m looking into things. That is a cute ornament!
