Wrapping It Up

Published by at 8:53 am under entertainment

While visiting a friend, I noticed that all of the packages under her Christmas tree were gift bags. There were no wrapped packages at all. Do most people only use gift bags for their wrappings? I am also wondering what people use to put a tag on their packages. I ran out of sticky tags and made my own out of card stock.

Isn’t that a cute wrapper?

I am also wondering, do most people use a real live tree or an artificial one. Do they get a full size tree or a small one to put on a tv stand?

I hope you will satisfy my curiosity.

1. What type of wrapping do you use?
2. What do you use to label your gifts?
3. What type of Christmas tree do you have?
4. What size tree do you have?

I LOVE the picture. So adorable!

I use regular wrapping paper for gifts at home but if I’m taking gifts somewhere, I use a combination of gift bags and wrapping paper.

We use a real tree from our farm but I also have smaller artificial trees as well. Our real tree stands about 8 feet. Nothing better than the smell of fresh pine.

Merry Christmas to you and thank you again for all your help with the gifts to the troops.

I too use a combination of gift wrap and bags, at least, until my supply runs out. Then, I plan on using home-made, reusable bags. Yes, I know that is one good advantage to many of the purchased bags, they can be re-used.

I love a live tree, but only if I can replant it in my yard! I have a variety of artificial ones. This year we are using the little two footers. We spend the day at our daughter’s on Christmas. They have an 8ft. live tree! I just hate the fact of disposing of a tree after the holidays!

      1. I use whatever wrapping paper my wife bought. Typically, it’s got Santa Claus images all over it. We rarely use gift bags. Maybe we should. And, yes, I am a man who knows how to wrap a gift…

      2. We’ve got page after page of sticky labels. Greatest things since sliced bread because they’re simple to use and they don’t fall off packages.

      3. Artificial trees. Big ones. Three of them.

I still wrap most of the gifts unless the item isn’t in a box or is odd shaped. I use the sticky tags too. And, we’re still using our artificial tree that we bought about 15 years ago! This may very well be its last year. After 3 moves, and 15 Christmases, its looking a bit ragged.

I use mostly gift bags. However, I do think wrapping is nicer, but since I almost never manage to properly wrap those gifts, I found bags to be a great help. I usually buy those gift bags that have a tag already attached on the handle, where you can write the name and a few words.

Bags are the default wrapping in our house because it’s so easy.

We always have a live tree. Organic this year, it just seems safer. As for gift wrap, I say variety is the spice of life.
