They Build It! Heads or Tails

This week at Heads or Tails, the theme is “build.” Make any kind of post using any form of the word “Build.”
When I think of build, I think of the amount of effort the artists put into making sand art. They spend all that time only to have it wash away. I am sure they get enjoyment from their work. Why else would they do it? Here are some examples of sand art.
Oh, and if you have time, take a look at my latest project in the post below. Tell me if you think the colors are too dark, please.

It sure is a lot of work that’s gone after one strong wave!

Those are fantastic. A shame they are so easily gone.
I know, I know…they’re creations are mind boggling, aren’t they? I love ‘em. We have several contests yearly around my neck of the woods, and they never cease to amaze me.

I am always amazed by what people can do with sand and snow. Fascinating!
As for your project, I think it looks great.

I used to love watching the people make these on the beach in Devon when I was a kid.
A great post.

Those are just fabulous! I must point out that they don’t just wash away — people see them, they remember them, they photograph them — and in this way they go on for much longer than their physical presence.

I think I recognize one of these sculptures from the Ocean Beach sandcastle contest. Am I right? Sand sculptures are a great way to make art out of something imperminant. It’s very zen.
