Unconventional Wedding Ceremony Entrance

Published by at 10:05 am under a bit of everything

Having just gone through the joy of experiencing our son and new daughter in-law’s wedding, I find myself drawn to links where weddings are the topic. I recently discovered this wedding video where the wedding party entered the sanctuary in a most unconventional manner. I think it is disrespectful and I am shocked that the minister allowed it to take place.

What do you think?

Really you think that was disrespectful? Cmon Karen, weddings should be about having fun, you only get to do it once, and really it should be whatever you want it to be. I think that looked like a blast, it was definitely memorable for all involved, and they just had fun with it. Doing the same thing that everyone else does, isn’t for everyone. Every person has their own unique individual style, and I think you should be able to show that on your wedding day. Just my thoughts.

So funny, apparently the couple was on ABC news and it made yahoo’s front page (i just saw it there.), I guess it’s a real hit with everyone else.

I don’t think its disrespectful. It speaks volumes about the fun people they are! I would hate it just because there is no way to take great pictures when they are all over the place. But I love it. I recently posted about a wedding we went to that in the middle of their slow song first dance broke down into a complete fast paced dance off. It was so much fun to be a part of. THe crowd truly enjoyed it!

You know I love you but I respectfully disagree. While it isn’t something I myself would choose I didn;t find it disrespectful. It looked like the wedding party had fun and even the people in the pews. I’ve been to weddings that moved so slow they were almost painful. These folks – newlyweds and guests alike – will never forget that day.

I really don’t see what’s so disrespectful about that. It’s people having fun at, in my opinion anyway, one of the most boring events you can possibly attend. I also don’t believe it’s really up to the minister what people want to do on their “special day.”

seems like everyone who has posted here enjoyed it even the minister at the end you could see dancing in place. I even found myself smiling as they all seemed to be having fun. that being said…..I think I enjoyed it because I didn’t know them. if it were your son and my daughter 2 weeks ago I know I would not have been smiling. I’m all for a great time, celebrate later! I agree with you

I find to be fun and entertaining, but these 2 words are inappropriate for a church. I like the idea, but I would have done it at the wedding party.

That video is so cool, BUT not if your wedding was coming up. I got married the Saturday after that came out and everyone was texting me telling me I had to do the same thing.

People should be able to celebrate in a church. I don’t see and form of disrespect. I’ve been in churches where you almost feel like you’re not supposed to breath. Not a way I would want to spend my time.
