Four Foods on Friday #81

#1. Clair’s question. What’s the biggest kitchen blunder you’ve made?
I didn’t know you were not supposed to put pyrex cookware directly onto a burner. The dish exploded and little shards of glass went everywhere.
#2. What’s your favorite snow day beverage?Hot Chocolate with little marshmallows
#3. What’s your favorite way to eat celery?
with peanut butter
#4. What’s the most most unappealing looking food you can think of? those chicks in their eggshell (I forget what they are called).

Dang thanks for the tip about the Pyrex! One time I accidentally ran cold water over a still hot Pyrex and had the same explosion. Not fun! By the way, those chicks in eggs are called balut and they look NASTY!
Oooo I forgot about the pyrex-like stuff I had. I nuked something in the microwave and emptied the bowl and then put it in the sink to rinse out and it shattered because the water was cold and the bowl was extremely hot. Never seen chicks in eggs but I’m thinking I want to not have that experience either.
eeewww, yep, those baby chick candies are disgusting!
Wow, I didn’t know those things about Pyrex, thanks for the tips. I always thought it could stand up to almost anything.

Hi Karen! Thank you so much for the greetings.
Those chicks are called BALUT! And yes they are disgusting, I’m a Filipina but I’ve never tried eating balut, my son loves it so much, though.
