Summer Comparison

Brrrr! I am cold and here it is, summer, June and time to break out our sleeveless tops and shorts. Here is a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson. It reminds me of when I was a child and had to go to bed when it was still daylight. It always seemed unfair.
Bed in Summer by Robert Louis Stevenson
In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people’s feet
Still going past me in the street. And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

I can relate to this poem so well living in Northern part of the United States.
I don’t try to complain about the weather one can’t change it. But last winter which start in Nov and still receive snow in April.
I’m not going to grip about the heat.
Coffee is on.
