Farrah Tells About Dying from Cancer
Are you going to watch the television show that airs on Friday night? On Friday evening American TV channel NBC will show a two hour long documentary about Fawcett’s fight against the deadly illness, cancer. A two-hour documentary, Farrah’s Story, shot by Fawcett and her friend Alana Stewart about her battle with the disease, will air on NBC on May 15, 2009.
It is not that I don’t care what happens to someone who is struggling to live, whether they are famous or not. I am easily depressed.
I have not allowed myself to watch Slumdog Millionaire and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas either.
So, I am curious, are you going to watch Farrah’s documentary?

I’m not going to watch it either. It would be depressing, but I will pray for her! I just learned this week that she had cancer and was dying.
I don’t have it in my plan to watch. Since the media publicized her close call a few weeks ago, it seems like they are treating it like any moment now. It’s sad. I have trouble watching things like that, since I lost my Dad to lung cancer eight years ago. He was gone in 30 days!

I saw this on the news and it really moved me to reevaluate myself and some things in my life.
I couldn’t watch it for the same reason as you. I think I could handle Slumdog Millionaire though.

No, I didn’t watch it but didn’t know it was on either. Probably would not have watched it though. I didn’t know she was dying of cancer.

Farrah did a great job filming this documentary; she didn’t do it for herself but to help others who are going through the same thing

I hate people documenting stuff like this. I mean it’s so unsettling, it might get lot of voyeurs coming in, but to me it just does not rock. People should realize where to draw line, even kids watch television, and they don’t deserve to see all this.
This is a very sad story her having cancer and all. I started to watch the documentary but it was difficult to see her in that way. She is courageous and still full of life. Very sad.
