Four Foods on Friday #71
It is time, once again, for Four Foods on Friday! Here are the questions for this week.
#1. What’s your favorite cereal?
I really like oatmeal with raisins in it. I like to add brown sugar but don’t because I am counting calories.
#2. What do you use to flip food on the stove?
I use a plastic spatula or what some call a fry turner. Oh heck, one of these…

#3. What’s your favorite type of donut? I love Krispie Creams custard filled with chocolate icing. (How much you want to bet that my sister answers this one with the same donut. LOL).
#4. Share a rice recipe.
Fried Rice
Fry chicken strips in oil until cooked through.
About 10 minutes into the frying time, add onions, red and green peppers
Add 3-4 eggs and cook until scrambled. Pour in 4 cups of cooked rice. Stir.
Feel free to join in on this fun and easy meme!

Now that’s a simple fried rice recipe I can get into. We have our own fruit/veggie stand here at the hospitals on Friday so I’m gonna pick up all those items and give it a whirl this weekend while I scratch away at my hives :/ Any rice will do for this though? As for the brown sugar, get the Splenda version. It tastes just like the regular brown sugar. That’s what I literally pour all over my oatmeal lol

That’s more my kind of fried rice recipe. Not the long and complicated one I posted on my FFF. My daughter makes that one.

A fry turner? I’ve never heard that, but that’s what I use too!

I love brown sugar in my oatmeal, but I put so much in that my breakfast turns into a desert. Haha.

That’s my kind of oatmeal, too. That’s the best!
Your fried rice sounds nice and easy. I want to fix that – it’s something my whole family would like.

I just started eating the Quaker Oats High Fiber Brown Sugar oatmeal last week and it’s 160 cals per packet. Put that in with skim milk and it’s yummy!
