Our Finished Bedroom

Published by at 12:20 pm under a bit of everything

I am in the mood to start another quilt project. I have made several purses the past week and am ready for something different.

The last big quilt I made is on my bed! I catch myself peeking at it to make sure that I really did finish such a big project. After painting the walls, washing the curtains and putting back our sleep number bed, the room is complete. It is comfy.

Lynn wants to put a television in our bedroom but I don’t want one in there. I have heard that if you work on your computer, watch television or work on other tasks, it is harder for your brain to relax in that particular room. I don’t want to have any problems falling asleep.

Cute bags! And what an amazing quilt. I do NOT have the patience to sew (or the desire really), but I admire people with that gift.

I’d love to have you for a visit! I’m partying with the UBP! :)

I’m blog hopping on the UBP and am amazed at your quilt. What a great accomplishment. I have a bag of “pieces” that I cut out about 2 yrs. ago, before my mom finally told me it was okay to “let it go.” :) So … I did, and I’ve enjoyed all the other “pieces” of life that I’ve been stitching together since. In my next life ;) I will be a quilter. It sounds like you’ve worked hard to make your bedroom a haven.

Beautiful!!! Looks great! The quilt is gorgeous!

We do relationship mentoring, and always advise against a TV in the bedroom. It’s not good for your relationship, in our experience. Not only do you have a hard time relaxing your brain, it also can cause serious issues between partners. Just my quick 2 cents.

That quilt is beautiful. I assume you made the pillow cases too? I would be interested to know if you plan on starting a business selling these, possibly mass production. I bet you would have a great market for these because they remind (me at least) of being at my old house growing up. Regards!

    24. Ann on 23 Mar 2009 at 1:04 pm

Exactly. The bedroom is the best have only a bed, wardrobe and table as a bedroom should be used only for the holidays and nothing more. Watch TV or work on your computer and prevent holiday in this way neglected partners.
