Ready for Chocolate

Published by at 10:29 pm under entertainment

I recommend a ladies retreat to get you through the dead of winter. I needed time with a bunch of nice women who were also ready for a getaway. Our church held a chocolate boutique where we tasted chocolate, made chocolate candy and talked about how chocolate was good for us. It was a fun retreat that taught us how to enjoy life with good friends.

During one portion of the boutique, I taught a clinic, (you can read about it and look at the fun pictures on my blog, My Opinion Counts), on making chocolate molded candy. I made an apron in case it got messy. Funny thing was, I wiped my hands on my pants because i forgot I was wearing the apron!

Just last weekend in Baltimore they had a chocolate convention to support some organization and it would figure I found out about it the day after. Hope you had a great time!

Sounds like you had a great time. And forgetting about the apron,
definitely sounds like it was a perfect time.
So, where can we get some of that great chocolate?
Your things in your Etsy store are so beautiful, that I think the chocolate would be an added plus!

The chocolate boutique sounds good! Homemade is the best. When I lived in Chicago years ago, I used to go to this little restaurant in one of the hotels on the north side that had a “chocolate buffet” on Sundays. Great coffee and all the chocolate deserts you could think of. Yum!

Mmmmmmmmm… now I’m craving chocolate – mmmmm… I want chocolate covered candied ginger – thanks a lot Karen since I don’t have any handy :(

I’ll have to go to the pantry to see if I’ve hidden anything chocolately away for the craving moment….

      Love your apron!

Anything fun to do seems to be more and more important to all of us – and when the chocolate comes in (with an apron or without it…lol), the joy becomes even more sweet… :)

Ah chocolate! Who can resist? I have, finally, switched over and found I’m preferring dark chocolate (supposedly better heart healthy for you than milk), though yikes! I think I would have gained 100 lbs attending lol, though it sounds like it was a blast!

That is such a pretty apron and you look adorable. When I was doing my fundraising last year I attempted to make chocolate suckers. I definitely needed your clinic! :)
