Heads or Tails #72 Three Things Learned

This weeks Heads or Tails theme is Tell three things you learned in 2008. Visit Heads or Tails to see what others had to say about the three things they learned in 2008.

You can list educational, moral, political, spiritual, physical, intellectual, mental.. anything you like. You can even do sets of threes if you’re really ambitious. You can be as specific or general as you wish.

1. I have learned to be content with being home. I used to think I had to be out and about all the time. Now it seems I am happiest when I have a quilt project to work on and have time to see some results.

2. I learned that not all roads parallel each other. When you drive in the country, you might think you will end up where you planned. It doesn’t always work that way.

3. I am not responsible for everyone at church feeling comfortable. Some people just don’t want to be there. They say we aren’t friendly and there isn’t much I can do to change their opinion.

Wow, this got kinda philosophical didn’t it? Well, that’s how I feel.

I like being at home to working on my hobbies too.

Driving in the country is always an interesting experience! ;-)

Was the drive metaphorical? If not, I love it when Poor Hubby wanders off-course. That’s how we found our favorite picnic spot & campsite. Then again, as long as we’re in Our Mountains, I’m happy.
      Happy Tuesday! :)

I would much rather be at home than out and about. Maybe that means I should learn to get out once in a while?

If you’re driving in Illinois you can be pretty sure the roads are parallel and every mile you’ll find a crossroad. Not so much here in Wisconsin!

It took us quite a while to learn #3. That’s a hard one. Some people just are not going to be happy no matter what you do.

When I was younger I liked going here and there. Now I’d rather be home unless it’s doing something outdoors.

I started going for rides in the country when I first learned to drive and I still enjoy it. Very peaceful and you can take some great photos.

Some people who go to church are more worried about fitting in and/or being popular than they are about how they’re living their life. That’s not what church should be about.

      Great post!!

Home is my favorite place to be too! But I do realize I’m a homebody and need to get out more as well. I enjoyed your site! I’ll be dropping by again. :)

      Great post.
I go into different moods about staying home and going about the town.
As for church we all need something different.

Coffee is on and thanks for stopping by.

I envy your ability to quilt – I think I’d try it if there was a delete button on the needle. Too much of my ‘sewing’ has been ripping out. Nice post!

#1 is a good one, and I need to learn that myself. I think I’d save a heck of a lot of money and my house might actually get into some kind of order.

number 2 is very correct. even GPS doesnt work in some old country roads.!!

I learned #2 the hard way as well. Sometimes it really is better just to sit in all that traffic on the main highway.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

I’m always happiest when at home.. but then again I sometimes have that fear of going out, so I’ve learned to be. I can always find a way to keep myself busy.. blogging, computer games, PS2 games, and my newest hobby, scrapbooking.

Learning we aren’t responsible for how anyone feels is a BIG life lesson. I’m still learning it. ;)

      Thanks for playing. :)

I loooove my alone time at home. Like you, I used to think it was a bad thing, but I’ve recovered and learned to look forward to staying home with nothing specific on the agenda.
