Bass Spits Up Ring

Published by at 12:29 pm under entertainment

I always enjoy sharing happy news. A story on Fox News reminded me of when my husband lost his wedding ring. If we had been in the Outer Banks rentals when he lost it I would have given up hope of ever seeing it again. Hubby lost his ring while working in the backyard. We looked and looked but never found it. It wasn’t until after we sold the house that the new owners found his ring. They were doing some remodeling on the garage and found the ring in the dirt. It was amazing to get the ring back. Hubby has since lost it again but that is another story.

Back to the Fox News story…A man lost his class ring decades ago and you won’t believe how he got it back.

Along the same lines, have you come across the apparently true story of the catfish that tried to swallow a basketball? http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_catfish_basketball.htm

That is a truly amazing story about the fish! You will have to superglue your Hubbys ring to his finger by the sounds of it.

What a strange story- mostly because of the time that has gone by and that the fish who ate the ring (poor fish) was caught.. Knowing that fish will eat apparently anything is making me consider veganism–

My husband thought he lost his wedding ring at my parents house and they looked all over the house but could not find it. Since he is a college student naturally he had girls flirting with him so we bought a ring at the school bookstore it was only $20 but a couple months later our 2 year old found it in a tiny little pocket on his backpack!

WOW, that’s an amazing story. The boys dad lost his wedding ring in our backyard while playing football with them when they were small.

We rented metal detectors and offered a reward for any of the neighborhood kids who could find it.

To this day it has NEVER turned up, and we even told the buyers of our house to keep an eye out for it.

I guess now it doesn’t matter too much though since that marriage ended, but it will still always be a mystery to me.

That’s so great that the owners found it an returned it! You dont see that often, most people would just find it and sell it for whatever they could get. Sorry to hear that your husband lost it YET AGAIN! Sheesh… Good thing his head is attached or he may misplace that..

It is always amazing the things that are “lost”…. (maybe the slipped into an alternate dimension) and the mysteriously “found” years or decades later (the layers growing thin again????) Well anyway…. It is always great to find that what is lost!

I read about the ring in the bass story in the paper and thought that was amazing. Now to read about your husband’s story too is pretty amazing too. How nice of the new owners to think of you both and return it.

That is an amazing story, but I’m still wondering about your husband… So he lost the ring, and miraculously got it back, and then lost it again? Is this part of a broader general pattern of losing things? (-:
