Rustic Tree

Published by Karen at 11:56 pm under a bit of everything

I was on a mission last Friday. We tried to put up our Christmas tree and the lights did not want to work. We had already put a strand on one part of the tree because the lights didn’t work last year. Now, two parts of the tree, which came with lights, did not work. That was the point of having a pre-lit tree. No need to string lights. I hate stringing lights! That tree needed a new home and I was off to find a replacement.

Our lodge room is made to feel like a log cabin or hunters lodge. It has a high ceiling and cedar paneling. I wanted to find a tree that looked more rustic. Does that make sense? A rustic Christmas tree. Well, here ya go…a picture, since I don’t know how to describe the kind of tree I wanted. I found it! It is 9 feet tall and skinny.

Nice tree but a little too skinny for my taste.

WOW!! That’s very pretty! We’re still using our tree that we’ve had for about 12 years! We’ve gotten our money out of it, that’s for sure. Of course, it’s not pre-lit either.

Looking good! And I do know what you mean by a “rustic” tree — we’ve got three trees and my wife wanted one to be a “country” tree. Kind of the same idea, yeah?

I can understand why putting up the lights can he a headache, especially for a 9 feet tree.

      Good work there, nice tree.

It’s a huge tree… It must be a hard work to build it.

Nice tree very tall, but I prefer a wider tree myself. My favorite are the Douglas Firs.

This Christmas tree is a perfect match for your log-cabin-like lodge room. It looks quite majestic, good job!

I love the tree. I really like the tall columnar structure and it is decorated beautifully. I have to get out and get a tree. Truly inspirational. On second thought, can you just send it over to my house??

Your Christmas tree is so pretty. We haven’t decided where to put ours because we are sure our little son will be pulling those ornaments down. Thanks for the visit. :)
