Four Foods on Friday #56

Published by Karen at 4:45 pm under Four Foods on Friday

I don’t know where Val, of Fun, Crafts and Recipes comes up with such great questions! Here are the 4 questions for Four Foods on Friday.

#1. What’s the worst tasting food you’ve ever eaten? I can’t really say that it was terrible but something that I didn’t like was a cold soup that we were served while on a cruise. Soup should be served hot! That reminds me…I was served burned tomato soup at a restaurant. It tasted pretty bad.

#2. Share a funny or embarassing story about a meal you’ve made.
I had my sister and her family over for dinner and served goulash. While putting leftovers in the refrigerator I notice the browned hamburger that was supposed to be in the goulash. I forgot to add it. My brother in-law said it still tasted good. Aw, what a guy.

#3. What food do you burn or have problems cooking most often?
I don’t burn it but I have problems making gravy. I can make a sauce but to make enough for everyone to have gravy…that is a problem.

#4. Name two foods you’ll be eating on this Thanksgiving.

Ham and pumpkin pie.

Every week I think I am going to try this meme and I never get to it. Gotta do it this week!

If you are interested in participating, I am tagging you. No pressure though…I understand if you pass!

This isn’t funny or embarrassing, more sad. A friend of mine didn’t cook the chicken well enough, had her mother in law over and almost killed her because the chicken was underdone, you know, nasty bugs.

Lesson. Always cook the chicken well.

I never had cold soup, but it doesn’t sound to appetizing. I love ham & pumpkin pie! :)

Your BIL is really nice! My inlaws would tell me they didn’t like it, throw it out, and then rub in how much i messed up. LOL

I thought you were going to say you browned up some other kind of meat like buffalo or something people would retch at otherwise! LOL (I know many like buffalo but I can’t get past the gamey taste)

Oh man, I haven’t had goulash in forever. Glad he didn’t mind the meat not being in there, so long as it tastes good you can never tell what’s not supposed to be in there.

I agree, there’s nothing worse than being served cold soup. I mean it’s so easy to just heat it up, it makes you wonder why they don’t.

I once had a girlfriend broil a pizza instead of bake it, it was pretty nasty.
