My son had a fun trick or treating. He collected two baskets of sweets. I check every single one. I saw some chocolate coins with Chinese markings and threw them away. just this weekend, it was announced here in singapore that something that i have been eating at work for everyday in the past 3 years contains melamine … sometimes, i would even have about 4 packs a day! and it’s not even a product of china … that’s the saddest thing … it’s as if, now, we don’t really know what’s truly safe to eat

I’m usually not that paranoid about Halloween candy, but all this Melamine hoopla is going to have me checking my kid’s candy for the cheap off brand kinds.

I just saw on tonight’s news that there’s quite a big recall of not just candies but toys as well. A while back it was lead in the toys and now it’s Melamine! What’s next.

I think that it was melamine in last years pet food recalls too.

Perhaps we should all boycott products made in China (I know big task since everything’s made in China these days!) and maybe they’ll shape up and watch what’s getting into the products and food they are manufacturing.
