Four Foods on Friday #52

Published by at 10:12 pm under Four Foods on Friday

Can you believe that we have done over 50 Four Foods on Friday? I love this meme. I have received so many good recipes that are my kind of cooking. I can’t wait to see what Thanksgiving recipes we all share. Here are this weeks questions. Thanks Val!

#1. Name something you use cream cheese in/on.
I use cream cheese when I make peanut butter frosting.

#2. Do you use yogurt in any recipes? I can’t think of any recipes that call for yogurt.

#3. Macaroni salad. What do you like/put in yours?

I make it the same way that I make potato salad except use noodles instead of potatoes. I add miracle whip, chopped boiled eggs and pickle relish. Oh yeah, and some yellow mustard.

#4. Share a recipe that you use sour cream in.

Party Potatoes
2 bags frozen hashbrowns (Not the shredded ones. I use the ones that are a quarter of an inch square.)
1 cup sour cream
2 cans cream of chicken soup
mix together and put into a 9×13 baking dish
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, covered. Uncover and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese. Bake until cheese melts.

That sounds like an interesting sour cream recipe. I should try that, it might get me started buying sour cream :)

That recipe for Party Potatoes sounds good. Is the chicken flavor strong on the potatoes or is it mostly just to the dish together?
      Thanks for playing FFOF!

At least I’m not the first person to ask for that peanut butter frosting recipe lol Please share it. I actually never thought to put egg in macaroni salad or potato salad for that matter and I should because I love eggs. I will have to give it a shot.

Our s-i-l loves peanut butter. I would like to have the recipe for your frosting, too.

You can use yogurt instead of sourcream when cooking, better for the healthy you! Guess where I learned that. You need to give the whole cake recipe if you give away the frosting!
