Not Old at 50
What is the deal with all these revelations about people over the age of 50? This morning, on the Today Show, they were talking about how people over the age of 50 were still having sex. Now on AOL’s homepage they show Faith Hill as the poster woman for people over age 40. Give me a break! It isn’t like we need incontinence products yet. People of every age show their age differently. I know people in their thirties who look old. I know people in the eighties who look and act young. I suppose it is better to talk about age than to hear about politics.

For some reason many talk show topics are acting as though 50 is ready for the grave. Now the young reports for some tv stations are calling 55 elderly. I am just dumbfounded and shocked. I am 59 1/2 and CERTAINLY DO NOT feel old at all. I’m with you, Karen…there are lots of people that I see from time to time that are much much younger than me and look/act much older.

Wow. I’m 54 years old and never felt better. I certainly don’t consider myself old. Having said that, if I were 18 again, I probably would look at myself now as old. Funny how ones perception changes with the passage of time!
