Converting Vinyl to MP3

Published by at 6:19 pm under entertainment

Why have I kept all my record albums? I don’t even own a working turntable. I have BTO, The Carpenters, Melissa Manchester and many more of my favorite artist’s albums sitting on a shelf. I cannot bring myself to throw them or give them away.

First Street to the rescue! They must have seen how many of us die hard album savers there were and decided to help us get our favorite music out of the basement and onto playable CDs, iPod, MP3 or other types of digital files.

First Street has a turntable that I can plug into my computer using the USB cable that comes with it. That means I can convert my cherished vinyl collection directly to CD or MP3 quickly and easily. To find out more about this one-of-a-kind three-speed (33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM) LP Saverâ„¢ USB Turntable, simply click on the badge over there in my sidebar.

If you don’t see any new posts from me for awhile, you will know how many albums I have to convert!

“Take me home…country road…la, la, la…I belong… Did I mention my love for John Denver?

Thank you First Street! Technology is soooo amazing and so was John Denver. Thank goodness his healing and soothing music will live forever.

I just read in a magazine that Vinyl is making a comeback! I can’t remember which band it is, but someone has actually released a new album on vinyl on purpose. Makes me wish I had kept that huge crate of records I used to own :)

I have tons of them too, and my Mom just downsized and gave be 2 more crates of them. I would love to put them on CD’s. One question – Do the songs go directly to the CD, or do they go on the computer, then onto the CD? I have no more room on my PC – will have to upgrade soon. Thanks for sharing this, Karen!

That is the most fantastic thing I have ever heard of! I can’t wait to transfer all my vinyl (and I have a lot…John Denver too!)

Well written review and what a great product. A friend at work recently asked me how to do this very thing. I’m going to give him your post.
