Playing Games?

Published by at 11:21 pm under entertainment

Do families play games together? I am wondering if families sit down at the table and play Parcheesi or Monopoly these days. I remember when I was around ten years of age, my sisters and I played war. War is a card game where your hands become scratched and sometimes bloody. LOL

Is everyone playing Guitar Hero and Wii these days?

Good question! Actually, we do sit down and play board games from time to time. However, that was much more common when I was growing up and that’s kind of a shame.

My family has all played Wii sports together a few times. And we play board games sometimes also. Rarely do we play long games like monopoly, however boggle is a favorite of ours.

I used to play Monopoly with my cousins way back when. I’ve played it with my kids too but we rarely have time for such a long drawn-out game anymore *sobs*

Yeah! too much video gaming, not enough old skool board games. I play cards a lot with my friends and occassionally monopoly when we can be bothered!

We use to play board games all the time when the kids were younger, especially when we went camping. Maybe I’ll challenge the husband to a scrabble game tonight!

We have a family game night and the kids love the classic board games. Of course on the other nights of the week when homework is done it is Wii and Guitar Hero.

We actually do both, play board games and the wii. Both are fun. Life is probably the most played board game at our house though.

Now, it’s mostly the Wii at our house.
One of my favorite games is
Pokemon Puzzle League. ( kinda like Tetrus in a way, but better)

I love board games and my basement is full of them! I can’t make myself get rid of them because I still like to play, although don’t play as often as I’d like. I play more on pogo.com now. Growing up, we used to play a lot!

We don’t have a Wii but we have a PS2. Eye Toy is a similar game for PS2 similar to the ones for Wii. We don’t play that often because…it’s too tiring LOL.
I have Junior Monopoly and I play it with my son from time to time, the problem is my 4 years old that always messes up the game.
      Sometimes it’s difficult to find a game that pleases a 9 and a 4 years old…
