Hobbies

Published by at 3:24 pm under entertainment

I have to say that keeping our yard in shape has become our hobby. Our friends think we are crazy because we actually enjoy pulling weeds and trimming bushes. LOL In my previous post, I mentioned that we used to ride motorcycles. My husband and I owned a Harley. My butt got too sore to ride on the back for any long distances and eventually I owned and rode my own motorcycle. I took the motorcycle safety course and learned all about riding a motorcycle. You know I wanted to really learn because I had to be at my class at 7:30 each morning. I am not a morning person! I learned all about motorcycle ability and how their parts interact with each other. Motorcycle parts are a bit different than car parts in that each is conducive to the other. We learned how to avoid objects in the road and how to make sharp corners. It was so much fun and made me feel more assured in myself when I rode. I would recommend the course to anyone who is thinking about riding.

PhotobucketWe used to have a little bell hanging from our motorcycle. My sister, Grace rides a Harley and told us about the legend of the guardian bell. Legend has it small bell attached to your motorcycle, close to the ground, catches the Evil Road Spirits. The little Gremlins live on your motorcycle causing all kinds of mechanical problems. The cavity of the bell attracts these Evil Spirits, but the constant ringing drives them insane and they loose their grip and fall to the ground, have you ever wondered where pot holes come from?
The GuardianĀ® Bell is traditionally given as a gift to a friend or loved one to bring them good luck and safe riding.
