There have been a few times when I felt really bad for someone who wanted to purchase something from someone in the US but couldn’t get around the high cost of doing so. Shipito.com is a mail forwarding service that allows you to offer international shipping when you sell using ebay. Another great solution for handling international shipments is Bongo International http://www.BongoUSdotcom
I’ve been using them for over a year now and they consolidate my US purchases and ship them right to my door, saving me a lot of money.
They have tons of international shipping info on their website, and a live chat option for any questions. BongoUS also offers a personal shopper if you need Us credit card, and a pay-per-use option. (other mail forwarding companies require you to pay a subscription)

This is great. It just goes to show that people can still create new ideas in business. I have always wondered how people could ship things across the pond in a cost-effective manner, or to anywhere else that wasn’t the lower 48. It always seems like when it is an option, it’s insanely expensive. Thanks for the heads up!

I never knew it costs that much more to mail out of the country. Since I ship of my own contest prizes, that is extremely good to know!
