Fall Colors and Apple Crisp
We had an awesome weekend. We met our son, Greg, in Indianapolis and drove around the reservoir looking at houses. It was a beautiful day to travel. The leaves are changing to beautiful colors. There were boats out on the water! It is October! Who needs St. Barts villa rentals?! We have beautiful weather right here in the mid-west. Now, come March, I will be whining about the cold temperatures I am sure but, for now, it is very nice.
I made apple crisp with some not so great apples. Hubby bought some flavorless apples at the orchard. They were bland so I decided to make an apple crisp with them. A little sugar and cinnamon worked wonders. I threw the rest of them out into the field for any deer that might visit.

We are finally seeing some fall colors in the Shasta Cascade Region and the reports are flowing in. The first report we have is from the Siskiyou County area and this is what they have told us so far.
